"Canned" loan servicing systems, as with all other
software systems are designed by the publisher to serve
the needs of the specific customers they target. These
systems will usually do a respectable job of servicing
most of the users needs but will always be lacking in
some detail. Lenders all have specific terms they want
to include in their loan contracts or in their loan
calculations that will not be handled by canned software
systems.
